The redesign of the façade at Bethmannstraße 50-54 – bright, modern, and partially greened – sets new standards in the urban environment and actively contributes to improving the microclimate. Particular emphasis is placed on resource conservation: through the extensive refurbishment of the existing building, approximately 8,450 tons of CO₂ can be saved compared to a new construction. The consistent use of green energy as well as a highly efficient MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) concept underlines the innovative character of the project. Upon completion, URBN CBD will meet the requirements of the EU Taxonomy Regulation and aims for certifications such as DGNB Gold, WiredScore Gold, and SmartScore. URBN CBD is not only an architectural highlight but also a pioneer for sustainable construction in the Main metropolis.
