Matchbox
Eschborn
The office high-rise is unique in Germany: The façade and roof are clad with photovoltaic modules that generate around 240,000 kWh annually, covering a significant portion of the building’s energy needs.
Heating and cooling are fully electric via two heat pumps and two chillers. Designed by Dietz Joppien Hammerschmidt, the building combines sustainable technology with timeless aesthetics, featuring minimalist interiors and eco-friendly materials for modern workspaces. Open-plan or individual offices can be arranged freely thanks to the column-free floors. The 10-story Matchbox is fully leased. The first rental areas were completed after just 13 months of construction.
