Grünflächen- und Straßenverkehrsamt der Stadt Frankfurt
Frankfurt am Main
Next to the railway tracks north of Frankfurt Central Station is the new home for the City of Frankfurt’s Parks Department and Department of Roads and Infrastructure.
For the first time, workshops and administration are brought together at a central location. On an extremely narrow site, schneider+schumacher designed an elongated, north-south-oriented building. Horizontally, it is divided into a two-story base zone and a five-story office wing above. Additional service functions such as underground parking, technical rooms, and storage areas are housed in the basement. The different uses are expressed in the façade design based on function and requirements.
